Graphic Research Brief, March 2011

For our Graphics Ranking project, we are required to research our chosen book (for a book sleeve design) and create a presentation.
I have chosen Jane Eyre, by Charlotte Brontë.
By using prezi, an online presentation editor I am in the process of making my presentation of the research I have done this past week. It will consist of slides such as the mood, time period, location and suitable typography for the book.

Illustration Week 2

The second week of Graphics, we were required to use illustration to illustrate our given words.

I started out with small thumbnails of urban scenes such as buildings and roads. After this I carried though the urban theme, but I focused on brand name and logos as they are part of an infrastructure also.

I focused on two of my ideas and at the end of the week I produced two of my researched ideas.

Typography Week 1

New semester, new start!
Visual Communications..or vis com as it's known is the starting block of my three week block of discipline try outs!
First day we were given/chose at random our words to work on for the week. Mine is
'Infrastructure Overload'
what a mouthful!
First port of call for me was to find out exactly what it meant..which would save me a lot of hassle if I started out with the wrong idea!
